Customer Experience Director – Cheshire - Up to £70,000 - Retail

Our client is a highly successful online retailer, with support from one of the largest private equity firms in the world and a roster of some of the industry’s biggest brands. They are looking for a Customer Experience Director to oversee strategy, planning, and delivery, and take an active leadership position in the business.

If you have a solid track record of project management at a senior, strategic level, then this could be the role for you! The ideal candidate will thrive on exceeding targets and have over 10 years’ experience in senior customer service or CX role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Shaping and delivering the customer experience strategy for both B2B and B2C offerings
  • Ensure customers are satisfied, and analyse feedback regularly to confirm this is improving efficiency and profitability
  • Work alongside the Marketing team and CMO to improve service levels
  • Regularly report on customer service metrics and targets
  • Manage social media channels to ensure customer messaging and templates are in line with overall strategy
  • Make sure that there is a holistic approach to customer service, and that all other business functions deliver best-in-class customer service at all stages of the consumer journey
  • Manage a talented customer service team
  • Communicate customer experience strategy with the senior leadership teams across the business

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience
  • Over 10 years senior customer service or CX experience
  • Project management experience in large-scale digital businesses / consulting experience
  • Data-driven individual with great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to create strong working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Lead from the front – be a customer experience ambassador across the business
