Our client is giving the right candidate an excellent opportunity to improve digital customer experience for their clientele by increasing sales volume through new technology and optimisation. The successful candidate will be required to conduct research and testing meaning analytical and co-ordination skills are essential.  Situated in Greater Manchester, the successful candidate will have close links to Manchester City Centre and various transport links around the area.

Our client wants a candidate that will work to follow each stage of the customer’s journey and use web analytics to create understanding of user behaviour and the journey of the digital customer to create the best possible experience for the user. The candidate will also be required to identify improvements needed in order to achieve optimal conversion rates while recommending new tools to minimise bounce rate. Your awareness of international business will grow through communication with the key partners and others members of the team therefore initial excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement of this role.

Responsibilities of the CRO Testing Executive

  • Defining multivariate tests, monitoring the results and ensuring statistical significance.
  • Sourcing and reviewing qualitative data (such as user testing, website and email surveys etc) to supplement site metrics
  • Identify potential opportunities and best practice through benchmarking
  • Reviewing existing website functionality to ensure that user journeys and tracking are all operating correctly and providing further investigation if needed.
  • Creating, prioritising and managing a list of website, mobile conversion tests and enhancements
  • Liaising across departments, including commercial, marketing and finance, to gather suggestions or requirements and communicating how changes should be made
  • Ensure that all new site developments adhere to best practice on-site SEO standards.

Required skills of the CRO Testing Executive

  • Extremely internet literate, with a strong interest in user experience and user interface design
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in a conversion-optimisation role
  • Exceptional knowledge of digital analytics using Google, Adobe or similar digital analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of Excel with great mathematical ability
  • Experience with online testing platforms such as Optimizely, Sitespec, Maxymiser or similar would be useful
  • Takes great attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Web optimisation experience (A/B testing, multivariate testing, analytics)
  • Great at team working and co-ordinating across the company with stakeholders at all level
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple streams of activity
  • Good understanding of consumer and web trends, and the range of digital routes to market
  • Travel background would be helpful but experience in ecommerce is much more important
