Content Marketing Manager – Manchester – Hybrid (2 days office-based) - c.£34,000 - B2C Services

Leading a small team, you’ll be driving forward the content strategy and managing associated budgets for the channel. You’ll be an integral part of the digital marketing team and will work closely across key stakeholders in the Marketing function as well as directly managing external agencies to meet business objectives.

Content Marketing Manager responsibilities

  • Manage the production of all marketing content across the department with key focuses on videos, blogs, podcasts, and testimonials.
  • Develop processes for content production across the department.
  • Continually drive improvements for the channel, utilising internal data to increase revenue across associated brands websites.
  • Using brand guidelines and implementing a consistent tone of voice and language appropriate for different audiences and business areas.
  • Manage external agency relationships to grow and improve content production.
  • Working with the SEO manager to build a content roadmap
  • Utilise analytics to identify and report ongoing content marketing performance to demonstrate effectiveness in achieving business objectives.
  • Optimise existing content to ensure it remains relevant and on brand.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly KPI reports across the channel.
  • Manage external agency partnerships and ensure budgets are met and maximised to drive output.
  • Showcase the results and performance of content marketing output to the Commercial and Product teams.
  • Maintain a close relationship with channel managers to ensure that content is being used efficiently across all channel activity.

Content Marketing Manager requirements

  • Copywriting experience for B2C and B2B audiences and strong proofreading skills.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of large volume, audience specific content and campaigns.
  • Experience managing budget and agency relationships.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • Experience of social media and SEO engagement strategies and best practices.
  • Ability to question and evaluate production outputs utilising performance analytics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey performance and plans to varied audiences.
  • A proven record of creating effective content for specific audiences globally.
  • Highly organised to manage multiple campaigns and projects while managing stakeholder’s expectations.
