A world-renowned name in advertising, our client prides themselves on their full development, creativity and passion for aesthetics. Based in Manchester, they are looking for a talented Agency Planning Executive to produce high quality marketing collateral.

The Agency Planning Executive will work alongside the Agency Sales Teams outside of London by dovetailing with their thinking and campaign planning and producing and presenting key proposals and research for a wide and exciting portfolio of regional clients. The ideal candidate will use outstanding time management and communication skills to work across a variety of out-of-home environments and forge relationships with key individuals across agencies, clients and collaborative media channels. This role also requires a thirst for knowledge, as the successful individual will need to keep up to date with current trends and strategies.

Main responsibilities of the Agency Planning Executive:

  • Handle the Marketing and Insight needs of the Agency Sales teams outside of London
  • Produce high-quality marketing collateral (including client specific research, bespoke pitch documents, product overviews and insight pieces) to take to the market and present at all levels
  • Utilise secondary research tools, datasets, and a rich database of primary case studies to create industry-leading presentations for the Sales team
  • Work across multiple out-of-home environments and continually develop a comprehensive knowledge of each format, the audiences and USPs; use knowledge to apply reasoning for each client’s target audiences and campaign aims
  • Act as a central resource for all research and insight needs across the teams
  • Spend time ensuring a robust knowledge base including, but not limited to, internal developments, the overall marketplace, commercial knowledge, marketing trends and key client strategies
  • Manage the regional database of marketing collateral, research and insight
  • Work with business development managers to respond to client briefs
  • Provide planning solutions, relevant data and insight using mapping software to produce location and heat maps
  • Identify campaigns to research for the benefit of both the company and their clients, to create a proposal and oversee the research piece
  • Present to specialists, agencies and clients either individually or supporting the Sales team

The Ideal Candidate for the Role of Agency Planning Executive:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Trained in the use of external tools (AdDynamix, MapInfo, YouGov, Route) is desirable
  • Creatively driven and commercially focused individual
  • Analytical mind and a strategic thinker
  • Accomplished presenter
  • Strong time management, with the ability to handle and meet deadlines
  • Organised, pro-active and self-motivated
  • Awareness of the media industry.
