Account Director – B2B Agency – Manchester - £50k - Hybrid

This opportunity is perfect for someone wanting a new challenge, and have ownership over the client services function within a multi-award winning agency.

Situated in the heart of Manchester City Centre, our client is extremely passionate about B2B marketing, and they are looking for a motivated individual to join their team as their new Account Director. With this role, you’ll work with an impressive client portfolio containing big name B2B organisations from across the globe across Science, Technology and Industrial sectors. With a digital bias, they blend data and creativity to develop and deliver truly integrated marketing strategies that help their clients achieve their objectives, and have grown organically and consistently over the past 3-4 years.

Managing a team of 2 -3 people initially, you will have the opportunity to grow out the client services team, develop process internally and mentor account handlers coming through the ranks. There will be client responsibility, certainly for the first 6-12 months, where you will be hands on developing client accounts.  Ultimately, you’ll be bringing on new talent to your team, where you can focus on more client strategy, profitability and people management.

The Main Responsibilities of the Account Director: 

  • Work closely with key clients, with the ability to get “under the skin” of briefs to deliver successful and efficient integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Build strong client relationships and be the main point of contact for key clients.
  • Develop retained briefs that corresponds with the client’s needs and objectives. 
  • Recruitment of account handlers when appropriate.
  • Keep the overview of all campaign activities and deadlines. 
  • Manage and lead a strong team of Account Managers and Planners, ensuring that the team are up to date on the newest marketing trends, to offer the best possible solutions to your clients.

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Previous experience in team management
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing practices
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to think on their feet
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced agency role at managerial level. 
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards all projects 
  • An inspirational individual who can lead and inspire a team
