Our client is a highly successful marketing agency who pride themselves on delivering innovative and first-class marketing campaigns to clients across the UK, so it’s no surprise that they work with some of the world’s biggest brands. Due to an influx in new business, our client is now looking for an experienced Account Director to join their team of marketing experts and work across their biggest accounts.

The Account Director will manage a very enthusiastic and creative team of Account Managers, where the successful candidate will motivate the department to achieve set KPIs and build excellent relationships. It is essential that the Account Director has previous experience in branding and campaign development as well as working in a marketing agency.

The Key Responsibilities of the Account Director:

  • Motivate and lead a strong team of Account Managers and guide junior teams on best practice
  • Passion for all things digital and media
  • Liaise with clients, in a professional yet approachable manner, in order to identify clearly there wants and desires for the campaign
  • Oversee the research, the planning and the implementation of successful campaigns from start to finish
  • Evaluate the success of the campaigns, and then make suggestions on how to improve it where necessary
  • Manage and build up the team of Account Executives and Managers in order to ensure that the team is working effectively
  • Produce detailed reports on the feedback received regarding the campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients

The Key Skills and Attributes of the Account Director:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial role
  • A self-starter who's strives for excellent results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and creative environment with previous experience of working in an agency
  • Prior experience of working in account management is fundamental to the role
  • Comfortable leading and managing a team; providing them with training and support where needed
  • Highly strategic and commercially aware
  • A forward thinker with the ability to identify new business opportunities
  • Outstanding communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are very important for the job particularly when dealing with clients
  • Have an eye for detail along with a creative mind - set
  • Proven track record of delivering triumphant strategies
