Are you a creative and hardworking individual? Our client is searching for a Mid-Senior level UX/UI Designer to start work on a range of innovative eCommerce projects!

Our client is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join their small and friendly team! They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced and exciting working environment. It is essential to be able to operate well in this kind of environment due to the short turnaround times that are faced by the organisation.

As the UI/UX Designer, the successful candidate will be setting their skills towards a variety of roles. The work will focus mainly on mobile responsive eCommerce websites and content management systems. From the initial concept, launch and post-launch, the UX/UI Designer will contribute towards quantifiable conversions, conducting analytical reviews to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a number of areas within UX/UI design. Alongside a passion for the role, a keen eye for detail, mobile technology and an awareness of web design restrictions and capabilities, it is essential that the candidate has a realistic appreciation of user needs and make the most of presented opportunities.

An individual that is flexible and can adapt is hugely important to ensure that focus is maintained and excellence is assured. Dealing with the internal teams and stakeholders is also a part of the role, therefore, strong interpersonal skills are desired alongside strong analytical and technical design skills.

Key Responsibilities of a UX/UI Designer:

  • Developing the concept of all new websites and managing their evolution.
  • Outline and maintain clickable prototypes
  • Create the best user experience possible, recognising logical flows and performing continuous reviews of all existing and new sites to look for improvements.
  • Analyse data from user research and iterate designs until the website meets the highest standards possible.
  • Plan and execute the designs within budget, and on time.
  • Source graphics and photography for the sites.

Key Skills:

  • A high level of creativity, a hardworking outlook and a keen eye for detail.
  • Be able to work well under pressure.
  • Fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • A deep knowledge of UX best practices with a large focus on user need, accessibility, utility and simplicity to push optimum site conversion.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design
  • Strong knowledge of designing wire-frames and wire-flows
  • Strong level of interpersonal skills
  • Ease of liaisons with senior stakeholders
  • Have a strong understanding of HTML /CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, optimising design concepts around these.

Necessary Requirements:

  • An exciting and strong UX/UI e-commerce portfolio
  • Proven experience in UX/UI roles, developing a variety of B2C dynamic mobile responsive eCommerce websites.
  • Experience with CMS systems
