Are you an Account Manager? Here is a chance to take the next big step in your career and become Senior Account Manager for a successful retailer in Stoke on Trent! You'll get a company car, manage a team of 4 people and look after leading UK clients!

No days will be the same in this role! You will get the chance to travel around the UK to manage exciting clients and lead presentations of gripping business proposals. The Senior Account Manager will have contact with key clients on a daily basis and lead the Junior Account Managers to grow their proficiency in account management. The successful candidate will be part of the whole project process and work closely with the Head of National Accounts to develop and execute action plans and identify new business opportunities.

Our client has been established on the market for over a decade and is still growing! They are leading in the UK and their client base is only getting bigger and therefore require more talented account managers to join their successful and growing business.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Account Manager

  • Be a professional representative dealing with blue chip client and managing their account
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client knowing their needs inside out
  • Provide excellent customer service, managing expectations and going over and above when possible
  • Manage a team of account managers supporting them in their role
  • Always seek best ways to improve client experience and provide the best level of service
  • Look for opportunities to identify new business opportunities
  • Manage financial KPI's and profit

Required skills and attributes

  • Previous Account Manager experience and have a talent for leadership and develop business opportunities
  • Have polished communication skills particularly the ability to recognise client needs and wants through listening and asking questions where necessary. As well as written communication.
  • Strategic, keeping the bigger picture in mind and creative and quick to identify ways of business improvement
  • Customer centric keeping their needs and wants at the centre of all activity
  • Experience managing a budget and forecasting
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience account managing for retailers would be highly advantageous
  • A positive attitude towards all set projects and tasks
  • Outstanding project management skills are essential for this role
  • Previous experience working with tight deadlines and building strong relationships
