Our client is an ambitious insurance company operating in Manchester. They are currently expanding their enterprising team and are on the hunt for their new Marketing Manager. If you are a talented individual looking to make an impact then this could be the role for you! The Marketing Manager will deliver marketing strategies to their current products, with a view to bringing in a number of other projects over the next 18 months. The Marketing Manager will play a direct role in the delivery of this new business and will have two direct reports. An ideal candidate will be creative and results focused with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver an excellent quality of work in a dynamic and energetic environment.

Roles and responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:

  • Produce engaging and persuasive advertising copy for an array of media sources including full-page advertisements, emails and digital banners
  • Deliver marketing strategy for 9 different brands
  • Manage media plans for these brands and stick to deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Lead Designer to ensure the advertising deadlines are being met
  • Producing creative briefs for the Design and IT departments
  • Monitor competitors and co-ordinating the team to produce a monthly slide deck to convey to the marketing team and senior management
  • Responsible for advertising and email campaigns of new products
  • Managing two direct reports who deliver the media scheduling and advertisement campaigns
  • Managing budgets, targets and media spending with the media agency which buys advertisement space on behalf of the group

The ideal candidate:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience of working as a Marketing Manager or an Account Director in a fast-paced agency or in-house environment
  • Exceptional copywriting and creative skills
  • Able to manage the different requirements of the stakeholders (IT, call centre, management team)
  • Previous experience of launching different products
  • Able to manage and co-ordinate a team
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Previous digital marketing experience (particularly email marketing)
