We have an exciting opportunity for a marketing savvy and highly analytical individual, who is looking for an opportunity to boost their commercial expertise, as Marketing Analyst for a leading online retailer! 

Our client is going through an exciting time and rapid growth! Being one of the UK’s leading online retailers, their success has only been going one way and they are now looking for a Product Marketing Analyst who will be based in our client’s Head Quarters in Macclesfield.

The successful candidate will join an extremely successful and talented team in the Marketing and Trading department, where the Product Marketing Analyst will be looking after promotional plans to manage the product coverage and key messages according to the set objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing website activities, including content merchandising categories, to improve processes that can enhance sales to match the profit goals. Reporting directly to the Trading Director, the Product Marketing Analyst will have excellent responsibilities to grow in the role and within the company.

Main responsibilities of the Marketing Analyst

  • Work closely with the Buying Team to manage brands and product ranges to be promoted on the website and ensure optimised exposure according to the marketing plan
  • Control and manage the website content and ensure it has a selling appeal to the promotional content
  • Analyse opportunities for any cross-sell and up-sell opportunities on the website across product ranges
  • Monitor and analyse the competitor activities as well as new consumer trends and communicate this to the relevant teams for the buying decision-making process of the senior management
  • Analyse online product performance to identify key product ranges to implement improved promotional activities

Required skills of the Marketing Analyst

  • Outstanding analytical and numerical skills
  • A curiosity and passion for working in a very result driven environment
  • Educated to a degree level within Business or Marketing
  • Highly ambitious and a positive and proactive attitude towards any set task
  • Extremely organised with the ability to work with set KPIs and towards a set goal
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package, but with excellent skills within Microsoft Excel
  • Great at working in a team with excellent interpersonal skills to fit into the team
  • A strong passion for online retail is key for this role
