This is an ideal opportunity for a re-locator or someone already in the northwest looking for a new opportunity! 

Our client is a rapidly expanding fashion business that is looking for a Head of eCommerce Trading and Digital Marketing to carry their business into its next stage of prosperous growth. They will be responsible for the entire Fashion eCommerce function via their digital marketing platforms. The chosen candidate will make it their business to know their target audience and their customer base inside out and work hard to engage and create sales through the most efficient digital channels.

The Head of eCommerce will be integral in growing and developing the digital marketing team and grow overall capability as well as bringing up to date digital marketing processes and techniques to the forefront of all business activities. 

The person for this role with love what they do, have great retail, eCommerce knowledge and a flair for fashion would be highly advantageous! The office has an exciting entrepreneurial spirit and a strong team ethic where everyone is working together to achieve the overall businesses goals. 

The Main Responsibilities of the Head of eCommerce:

  • Optimise digital channels to create sales and optimise return on investment
  • Generate reports which highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each campaign; using these as guides for future campaigns and reporting on these to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with your team and departmental managers to ensuring alignment of teams and adopt holistic approach to strategical initiatives
  • Put the customer and their needs at the centre of all that they do
  • Plan and execute a cutting-edge sales strategy which will exceed the company’s targets and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships in order to enhance the business’ value
  • Devise an innovative digital marketing strategy which will enhance sales figures
  • Enhance turnover through website sales
  • Keep up-to-date on any industry changes or trends and act accordingly
  • Ensure that, as the volume of sales increase, the operation is as efficient as possible

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience of working within a similar role in a retail environment
  • Fashion retail experience and knowledge is essential
  • Customer centric with a superb understanding of the know their customer demographic to ensure a seamless customer journey
  • Strong digital marketer who understands all areas of acquisition and retention with an entrepreneurial mind-set to run their team as if it were their own business unit
  • Creative and has confidence to look outside the norm and carefully trial new ideas and able to analyse and take insight from the data and react accordingly- read stories from data
  • Capable of working with large budgets and that they are adhered to, to generate the best ROI
  • Have excellent technical skills within PPC, Google Shopping, CMS, Warehouse Management Systems and Channel Advisor
  • Expert in all things digital marketing!
  • Strong MS Excel skills and capable of reporting and forecasting
  • The candidate has to have a strong commercial awareness and be very results driven
  • Strong leadership skills are essential
  • Ability to be hands on and enthusiastic about all projects whilst maintaining a top line strategy at all times
