Passion for design and content? One of the leading retail brands in the country is searching for a new Digital Designer to engage with our client’s consumer base!

The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and developing the content for all of the channels used by the retailer. Consistency across all of these channels is key, so an individual with a good eye for detail, a creative mind and an organised persona are perfect for this role!

The ideal candidate for the role should be able to work closely with the marketing teams, listening to ideas and providing visual aids to the campaign plans. Offering an insight on how to improve the content of the campaign. A good level of interpersonal skills will be necessary for the role as it will involve reporting to a number of teams to ensure consistency throughout all areas of the company.

Ideally, within the first year, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of the product range available at the company and consistently work to meet deadlines. The Digital Designer will also be able to work alongside individuals in the team to support any digital requirements they may need. Our client is looking to give a performance boost to the in email click-through rates, they are looking for an individual that will drive forward these performances.

Key Responsibilities of a Digital Designer:

  • Developing and updating information and content on the company website within the set deadlines presented by the marketing team. Content includes banners, promotional POS and landing pages using basic HTML and CSS editing.
  • Have the ability to take on board ideas from the marketing team and provide visual aids to push the campaigns
  • Develop email newsletters and accomplish click-through rates over 20% working closely with Marketing teams
  • Working closely with the MC Lead and content team to make sure that all messages are content is consistent across the board.
  • Give feedback to surrounding teams to ensure that the experience on the offline and online channels are consistent across the board.
  • Assist the content team in making sure that all assets required to drive social growth targets are supported
  • Maximise the onsite conversion by working closely with surrounding teams to identify, test and implement enhancements
  • Constantly analysing the site and its content to report on improvements that need to be made.

Additional Responsibilities of a Digital Designer:

  • Give assistance to the multichannel team in an optimisation test programme.
  • Monitor the performance of competitors and key retailers to ensure that the website is at the forefront of best web practices.
  • Put high levels of passion into the work and the content created, giving customers the best quality digital visuals possible.
  • Monitoring all aspects of site content including product copy and photography to ensure the brand message is consistently communicated and offering direction and improvements where appropriate. – Keep track of all aspects of the site including product copy and photography to guarantee that the brand messages are consistently communicated.

Skills and Experience Necessary:

  • A competent Digital Designer with the ability to produce creative and on-brand visual content to engage with consumers using Adobe CS platforms
  • Great time management skills and the ability to multi-task, meeting deadlines for content
  • A background in selling products through marketing and/or retail sales.
  • It would be beneficial to have experience in the design of responsive emails.
  • A background in the development of UX design would also be beneficial
  • A good understanding or interest in the outdoors and the products involved with outdoor activities.
