Analytical mindset? Strong attention to detail? Our client is searching for a Customer Insight Manager to effectively improve the understanding of their clients. Based in the vibrant city of Manchester, this is not an opportunity to be missed!

The customer insight team currently exists within the marketing department in the organisation, working closely with sales teams and faculty. The work within this department gives key insights into the organisations customer base, providing information that forms the future marketing plans. The end goal is to create a competitive advantage and drive performance!

This role comes complete with a number of development opportunities! Full training on SAS, Power Bl and other tools are available, as well as access to a number of personal development courses.

The role of the Customer Insight Manager is to develop a deeper understanding of the clients and their behaviours. Their clients are not the only targets however; this client has a strong student base which they would also like to gain a greater understanding of! This analysis will allow our client to better understand the prospect journey to help find out which campaigns are effective to each demographic. Our client is looking for a candidate with a strong level of analysis ability to ensure accurate findings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a strong knowledge of our clients proposition, products and processes
  • Analysis of the performance of the business, reporting findings to marketing and the wider business teams.
  • Maintain a go-getting attitude, investigating both market and consumer behaviour to effectively point out risks and opportunities to drive the business.
  • Develop an understanding of the various target audiences that our client uses, and develop an insight on how to further the growth within these target markets
  • Research the customer life cycles, this includes acquisitions and the long term value of the audience
  • Make use of the findings on consumer behaviour to predict future outcomes at key points within the consumer life cycle.
  • Make suggestions to improve marketing strategy to strengthen business performance, communicating suggestions efficiently.
  • Drive development and improvements in the way customer behaviour is evaluated, and the insight off the back of it is used around the business
  • Report back on processes that need alteration to guarantee that high quality data is supporting the marketing team
  • Make analysis of the key aspects within the educational models within the business to suggest improvement
  • Manage an analyst within the customer analyses team to ensure that they are growing as a professional and that their work is in line with the organisations plans.
  • Show great interpersonal skills, managing essential business relationships, communicating findings and reports efficiently.

Desirable Experience:

  • Hold a numerate degree that includes a high level of statistic use or operational research / equivalent work experience
  • A history of working within a driven marketing team
  • Experience in a role that has involved customer focus
  • History of using predictive models (desirable)

Skills:

  • Superb analytical and numerical abilities
  • The ability to build insights through the use of data mining on programmes such as SAS or SQL
  • Able to use computer packages such a Microsoft Office
  • Have the confidence to effectively communicate technical solutions to people who may not understand them
  • The ability to deal with issues that present themselves
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivation and the drive to be successful
