Their success has encouraged them to grow their teams and they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to run a team of Sales Executives. Reporting directly to the senior management of the company, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving annual and quarterly sales targets.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing effective sales strategies and use market intelligence to map the customer journey for the UK market. Our client wants the professional for this role to be innovative and be confident in trying new techniques for successful business development.

Main responsibilities for the Business Development Manager

  • Contribute to the team and ensure all targets are met
  • Work with forecast accuracy, sales conversion, and build key relationships
  • Participate and run forecast meetings on a weekly basis and present strategy reports
  • Participate in client meetings and be engaged with other corporate activities
  • Manage the development, implementation, and execution of sales strategies
  • Be the business owner of the company and build targeted messages and tactics for the UK market
  • The candidate will manage the Sales Executives with liberty, however, it must be according to company values and you much be an inspiring leader

Key requirements of the candidate

  • Previous experience in managing high achieving B2B Sales Executives within the digital and eCommerce market
  • Must have experience selling software as a service / SAAS
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience and building relationships with global organisations. It is furthermore required that the candidate has previous experience managing sales processes
  • Previous experience with price negotiation, which is based on business value and procurement
  • The candidate must have previous experience in selling to senior level management in Marketing, Product or Analytics positions
  • Proven track record of successful business development results as an individual contributor
  • You must have previous experience in setting quotas and manage teams accordingly
  • Be able to share excellent sales and industry knowledge to the junior teams
  • The candidate must be able to constantly exceed expectations and possess an excellent drive to achieve results
  • It is desired to have previous experience with selling marketing technology, website optimisation, and A/B Testing, however, this is not a necessity
