Manchester Digital Christmas Party 2013

Yes it's that time of year again; the Manchester Digital Christmas Party is upon us - but this time with a spooky twist!

On Thursday 5th December, trendy bar Kosmonautlocated in Manchester's Northern Quarter will play host to the scariest of Christmas Parties. Starting from 6pm til late, attendees will be treated to a FREE drink on arrival and floor filling tunes from a brilliant DJ!

This year put away the glitz and the glamour - the dress code for this party is fancy so we're expecting to see Evil Elves and Bad Santa! Fancy dress will not be strictly enforced but it is strongly recommended for you to get involved as there will be a 'Best Costume' competition.

So, why make Christmas scary? It's all down to mathematics….

Why do mathematicians confuse Halloween and Christmas?

Because 31 Oct = 25 Dec

According to wikipedia, "the play on words lies in the similarity of the abbreviation for October/Octal and December/Decimal, and the coincidence that the two representations equal the same amount (31 Octal is 3\cdot8 + 1 = 2\cdot10 + 5 = 25 Decimal)".

Prices are as follows:

Manchester Digital members - £6

Non-members - £10
