Manchester Digital Talent Day & Skills Summit

What is it?

The Manchester Digital Talent Day is an opportunity for digital businesses to connect with the next generation of of digital talent and a chance for aspiring students to gain a better insight into the digital industry and meet potential future employers. The talent day will be followed by the Manchester Digital Skills Summit event which will be covering several topics of interest and answering your questions at the largest digital skills conference in the North.

 

When and where?

The Manchester Digital Talent Day will take place on Wednesday 20th Februrary, with company exhibits available from 11:30 to 04:30pm at Manchester Town Hall. Following this, the Manchester Digital Skills Summit will be held on Thursday 21st February 2013 from 1:30pm to 6:30pm, also at Manchester Town Hall. For who?

The Talent Day is a chance for digital businesses to network with future talent and an opportunity for students and aspiring digital gurus to learn more about the digital world. The following event, the Manchester Digital Skills Summit is intended for digital companies, who may or may not have attended the Manchester Digital Talent Day to follow up and discuss insights. 

 

Why?

Talent Day

A chance for aspiring digital professionals and students to network with over forty cutting edge digital businesses in the North West region. The day will include a range of surgeries to improve your CV and give you a chance to find out what skills businesses are looking.

Skills Summit

The follow-up summit will present findings from the Manchester Digital Skills Audit and look at where skills shortages are and where talent is going. The conference will discuss the development of the regional talent pool and how digital businesses can we work together more effectively in the future to grow the North West talent base. In addition there will be talks about apprenticeships and how to get the right apprentices for your business.

 

This event is a great opportunity for you to network and discuss ideas with like-minded people. You will also have a chance to have your say on what colleges and universities should be doing to produce the best talent in our region.
