The Candidate's Advent Calendar - 21 December

Today is the last day of our agency advent calendar campaign…and we are having a Friday Bonanza day to announce the remaining winners.

We will be announcing the winners of the 21,22,23,24 and 25 December. As much as this is exciting, it is also tinged with sadness. We have thoroughly enjoyed spreading our Christmas cheer to agencies in the North, and will be sad to deliver the last treat today.

Every day since the 1 December we have been pulling agencies in the North out of our Christmas hat, and we will have by the end of the day an agency for every day of advent.

The winner for today's advent calendar prize draw is: award-winning Manchester marketing agency, PushON.

Congratulations to you all, our very own Santa Claus will be dropping off some tasty treats for you.

PushON have had a good year. They recently won Best use of Search at the UK Search Awards and they've acquired new business hand over fist. And, so we hear, they are expanding which is great news for the Manchester digital scene.

We had a good read of PushON's blog and we found the "Manchester: The city of Social Media" blog post particularly interesting. In fact, we found it surprising that Manchester City Football Club takes the lead with social media, and has a presence on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Foursquare and Instagram, with its counterpart United only present on Facebook.

Do you think Manchester United needs to catch up?

Merry Christmas Simon, Roy and the team from everyone at The Candidate.

TESTIMONIALS

It didn’t take long to build rapport with Laura, as her excellent communication skills shone through from the start. She placed me in my most recent position and was very thorough in liaising between myself and my prospective employer at the time - an often understated skill. Moving to a new city for the position at short notice was not going to be easy, but Laura made sure I was as informed and prepped as possible when going through the interview stages and seemed to always have my best interests at heart. One of the most personable recruiters I have worked with, and I will certainly be calling her first when I am considering changing position again!
