The Web Developer will join a skilled and experienced team. They have offices based in South Manchester with easily accessible transport links. The successful candidate will be involved with cutting edge responsive web solutions in PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML5, CSS, Javascript and Jquery, as well as administrating the web server. To be effective in the role it is essential that a candidate has exceptional programming skills.

Main responsibilities of the Web Developer:

  • Produce well written code by using best software development practices
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling existing websites
  • Keep on top of the latest industry trends

Required skills and experience of the Social Media Executive:

  • Demonstrable work experience in web programming
  • Solid knowledge of frameworks and CMS Systems such as Wordpress, Woocommerce, Drupal
  • Advanced programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages: PHP, JavaScript and JQuery
  • Building Responsive HTML emails from provided designs.
  • Experience in using Mailchimp, Dot mailer or similar email marketing platforms.
  • A strong understanding of how web applications work including security, back-ups, and best development practices.
  • Suitable knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.
  • Hands-on experience with hosting companies and sever management.
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization principles.
  • Problem solving skills, debugging and cross-browser testing.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
