Our client is a global eCommerce business who are leading the way in their field, serving over 50,000 clients across the world! They now require a Senior Product Owner to join their expanding business. The role involves being responsible for product innovation and excellence across multiple product teams. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly analytical thinker and will have a strong marketing background with experience in SEO, PPC and landing pages. This eCommerce business has built an impeccable reputation worldwide and have become pioneers in the industry. Based in a relaxed environment with spacious modern offices, they want a dynamic individual who can drive product development through all phases of the product lifecycle. The Senior Product Owner will report to the Head of Product and the Chief of Marketing Officer.

Roles and responsibilities of the Senior Product Owner:

  • Expand your understanding of the customer’s needs across a range of business areas and how those needs interact with your product portfolio
  • Define strategy and trajectory of your product portfolio with the Chief Product Office and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that vital stakeholders are kept up-to-date and are fully invested in the product development process
  • Improve efficiency with the product teams, coaches and engineering
  • Maintain and lead your own team of Product Owners
  • Be accountable for the delivery of your portfolio

The ideal candidate:

  • 5 years of experience in an ecommerce field as a product owner or senior product owner
  • Proven experience of achieving successful user-orientated products
  • A strategic mind and commercial awareness
  • Experience in SendGrid or ESPs/MTAs
  • Highly analytical
  • Exceptional communication skills and able to speak to a wide-ranging group of colleagues
  • Able to define and communicate a product vision/strategy to others
  • Well organised and able to keep to deadlines
  • An understanding of what exceptional user experience entails and the delivery of this against competing enterprises
