Our client is a media provider within the sporting sector. They now require a talented Account Manager to join them. It’s absolutely essential that a candidate applying for the role is a lover of all things sports. There are fantastic benefits to this role including a company car!

The role of Account Manager is based in Manchester. The Account Manager will plan and  oversee  integrated marketing campaigns both on and offline, ensuring that all client requirements are met. They will be actively involved in campaign strategy, offering advice to clients with regards to competitor activities and any emerging advances which occur within their market. They will have organisational skills in order to meet deadlines as well as previous experience in a client facing role. The business is happy to provide training for parts of the role for a talented candidate, however, they can’t teach someone a love for sports. Therefore, to fit in this business it really is vital that you are a sports lover!

The Main Responsibilities of the Account Manager: 

  • Work closely with other Account Managers to manage a wide portfolio of clients and agencies 
  • Have a creative approach to client pitches
  • Understand briefs and come up with new creative and innovative ideas
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to maintain revenue levels and attract new clients to the business 
  • Attend and organise regular client and agency meetings to build a strong relationship and offer the newest digital solutions
  • Work closely with the other sales teams to pitch different solutions and offerings across the business  
  • Ensure the CRM system is up to date 
  • Run negotiations and close deals with clients and agencies 
  • Be a strong representative for the business and the brand 

The Perfect Candidate:

  • You must have a strong understanding of on and offline media channels and proven experience of developing successful integrated media campaigns 
  • A sport enthusiast
  • Experience of working with agencies
  • A strategic mind set and a logical thinker who has a passion for analysing briefs in order to generate an innovative solution 
  • Exceptional communication, organisation and leadership skills are also necessary for you to thrive in the role! 
  • Comfortable forging strong work relationships with other employees and clients whilst working in a fast paced environment 
  • Proficient in DDS, Excel and PowerPoint
