Our client is a well-known, well respected international B2B marketing agency that specialises in utilising marketing communications to help businesses grow. The agency has already reached dizzy heights of success and is looking for the right Account Director to firmly and confidently bring the company to the forefront of B2B marketing. This company’s impressive clientele is only expanding with an office in the US and a presence worldwide! As a Director, this is a brilliant opportunity to be a part of what is already a renowned company with possible prospects of relocating!

The Account Director will be comfortable with harbouring responsibility for themselves, the team and the company. They will be a vital cog in the agency overseeing everything from programme planning to crisis management on behalf of clients. This is a role that encompasses all things account management and requires a level-headed individual with a can-do attitude to achieve the excellent service that our client prides themselves on. With power comes responsibility! Can you do it?

The Main Roles and Responsibilities of the Account Director:

  • Effectively lead the account team to ensure client’s objectives are met through the development, implementation and review process
  • Hold client meetings involving the preparation of plans, reviews, identify successes and how to overcome problems if there are any
  • Closely monitor the team members to ensure work is of the highest standards and remains completely relevant to clients’ commercial needs
  • Be the senior point of contact for 3rd party communication
  • Shape knowledge of clients, their publications and industry publications
  • Responsible for the achievement of certain clients – oversee their progress, identify problems, find solutions to said problems and issue effect
  • Lead the development of the accounts strategically

Skills and Attributes of the Account Director:

  • A minimum of seven years’ experience in marketing, at least three of which in a managerial role
  • Imperative to have the skills to manage employees and numerous accounts
  • A confident communicator; will liaise with the press and clients on a day to day basis
  • Embrace and endorse the company’s mission and values – as a director you will be a representative!
  • Apply time management quotas for team members and yourself to increase efficiency and balance workloads
  • Good role model for team members – offer support, extend constructive and honest feedback, boost team morale, act in a respectful manner
  • Understand the company business plan and how it will be achieved
  • Able to identify and develop new business contacts
  • Will have extensive knowledge of economics and the industry’s issues
  • Advanced understanding of print, photography and design as well as extensive written, reporting and presentation skills
